GoDaddy.com’s new endeavor: Video.ME video sharing site

June 11th, 2010 View Comments

I just got wind of this site and took a quick peek at it. Kneejerk reaction? I am impressed with how it sets itself apart from the current competition. I guess it’s a good start. It’s a very simple and straight forward video sharing site, but I also have to say that I am impressed with what it’s offering even though it’s at a price.

The two features I like the most are the 5 custom albums and the option to store and download the original non-compressed video file. It’s full of WIN! LOL!!

As for what GoDaddy is charging for it’s site– only $1.99 per month–that’s a very different approach compared to Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, or Blip.tv (which has similar offering to Vimeo).

What do you think? Check out Video.Me and share your thoughts in the comments.

Need For Speed Laguna Seca video

August 19th, 2009 View Comments

This is really cool! I used to be a gamer when I was a teenager. I played my Playstation day and night until it broke. Anyway, one of my first games for it was The Need for Speed and I’d been hooked on that particular game francise–I think that’s what I can call it– ever since.

I think what I’m most impressed with in this game is how much time was put into the environmental elements in terms of design. A lot of this looks so realistic that it’s eerily cool, which probably shows how out of touch I am with video games. Gamers that would read this will probably think,”umm…ok???? weirdo!”

Eh…

Terminator Salvation, Twilight Flu

If you’re viewing this from Facebook Notes, then you won’t see the video that’s accompanies this post. So, go here to view it.

I went to see Terminator Salvation Friday night and I bought the second novel in author, Stephenie Meyer’s hit series, following “Twilight”.

Blog Link: A Worthy Cause – Peru Trip

Follow iAlbert: twitter.com/ialbert

Here is a worthy cause by iAlbert aka “the Eat. Sleep. Tweet. guy” who is heading to Peru to help build wells for drinking water and more. But you know what, I think it’s best if I just let him explain, so here it is.

I hope you’ll feel compelled to contribute in some way. If nothing else, you can always purchase a shirt from eatsleeptweet.com (which is Albert’s own business). So there you have it. But before I go, I think when it comes to encouraging folks to support a cause, I like to lead by example, so here is my contribution to the cause.

I donated to Peru Trip and and my message popped up on the blog as a comment.

I also purchased a Veni Vedi Tweet shirt from store.eatsleeptweet.com.

Comments Apology, More Videos, The Watchmen

While it has been bad enough that I have utterly slacked on making quality videos (and by “quality videos” I mean more than just a vlog update–like this one–but rather funny-videos-worth-subscribing-for), I have totally sucked at replying to the few generous comments that I get, particularly on YouTube and Viddler. I want to say sorry and I will do better in the future.

I am working on three videos simultaneously, but one that you can expect from me soon is one that I titled “Chinese for Dinner.” Watch the video for a slight explanation about it. In general, I promise to do better with the videos as well. I was given a semi-cloaked lecture by Owen Stone at askohdoctah.com and decided to clean up my slacker-ish act.

Finally, I saw The Watchmen last Friday and….WOW…there are no words that I can speak at the moment. Watch the video! ;)

In the meantime, keep an eye out for me ’cause I’m comin’ up with better video content. I’m doing my darn-dest. Yeah, I know “darn-dest” isn’t a word, but I like it.

Later!

From time to time I will do an impromptu for any given reason. In this case I’m talking about some resolutions that I want to make.

Online Resolutions that I plan to do or do more:

1. Blog more
2. Video Journaling editing and impromptu
3. Lifecasting
4. Be more transparent about who I am.
