Jake Lloyd, former child actor who played young Anakin Skywalker, was far from my mind when I came across this article, and to see him now is truly surreal. He’s grown up so much, 20-years old, and is attending film school although on hiatus, but definitely plans to return. Below is an uploaded copy of the a video interview with him–uploaded by YouTuber br260454. However, this video was originally published on the Australian SciFi Channel’s blog.

In this video Jake mentions how he enjoyed Star Wars as a child and how he’s not as into it at present. Furthermore, he elaborates by stating that Star Wars is for children. Maybe, maybe not. Personally, I have no deep attachments to Star Wars like I do to, say, Star Trek films–and even that is low (although that may change based on J.J. Abrams’ addition to the Star Trek franchise). At any rate, Jake is also distant with regards to his role in the film because people allegedly blame him for ruining the film as a whole. Jake’s acting really doesn’t stand out in my mind negatively, so it must not have been bad to me at the time, and I don’t plan on going back to see what I think now. ‘Nough said, right?

Alright you Star Wars fans, any thoughts or opinions on this one?
