This is super late which means that A Week with David 4 will end up being late as well. This is only due, however, to obligations at work. But enough with the excuses.

I popped over to a used CD/Vinyl music store to see if I could maybe find a nice copy of Imogen Heap’s album “Speak for Yourself” and I didn’t. I was hoping that I could find it for less than $9 bucks, and eventually ended up purchasing a copy of the album off of iTunes. There is still some sentimentality left in actually have a physical copy of an album. …You know what I mean?

My former high school drama teacher invited me to come see a show of her students performing Lil’ Abner. It was pretty good and I enjoyed it. The students were really great and really talented. I was hesitant to go in the beginning because I was bobbing for apples on my way there. I mean I was going to turn the car around for home and apologize later but it was definitely worth staying awake for.

Every now and then I take a trip to my favorite comic book store, and funny enough I don’t visit the comic book store for comics at all. I am not into comics, and probably never will be. I usually go to raid their Asian Cinema section–which is huge–and find some cool new Japanese stuff and Japanese treats. One thing that I saw though and totally took me by surprise was a whole long row of comics devoted or including President Barack Obama. I was surprised and thought it was way awesome! See for yourself.

Given the kind of great personality that President Obama has this doesn’t really seem far-fetched to me. Now that I think about it, there is Ronald Reagan who was an actor befor his time as president, and second to him there is Arnold Schwartzenegger who is now governor of the state of California. Listen at me, I say this like folks don’t already know this.

I saw these treats and had to try them and boy were they good. So I have a new treat that I love now.

However, I have had this Japanese soda before. The first time I bought it I failed to read the clear instructions on the cap for how to open the stupid bottle. So I unnecessarily struggled in the car with getting it opened until I resigned to eventually glance at the directions. Let me tell you now that I think this is the coolest soda to open now. LOL

I hate that I am admitting this but I struggled with my Javascript class (which was titled Introduction to Scripting), and the instructor’s method of teaching didn’t help me. I was really frightened of scripting because I sucked at it. I got a C- in the course, but I am willing to admit that I am not good at it, but I am determined to nip my fears in the butt and really dig into this stuff. PHP appears to be what dynamic sites are created with apart from using Flash. So I will spend from now through this summer teaching my self PHP and polishing up my Javascript skills. Finally, the only reason I’ll be teaching myself is because I’m completing an Associate of Science Degree in Web Design & Interactive media, which means I won’t be receiving course instruction on PHP.
Alright, so there you have it, week 3 in a nutshell, as far as things that are semi-interesting in my life.
