I am not a video gamer by any stretch of the imagination but I do think I know a good product when I see one and Crysis 2 looks killer. I won’t belabor this post with my usual babble.

Nancy Drew 80th Anniversary release: Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister for PC (and now Mac)

June 28th, 2010 View Comments

Here is one for the kiddies…

Her Interactive is will be launching a new addition to their Nancy Drew PC game series titled called Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister on June 29, 2010, the 80th anniversary year for Nancy Drew.

More importantly, this will be the first time that the game series will also be available for Mac in a dual format disc for Windows and Apple OS. The game is rated E for Mild Violence and Comic Mischief.

Personally, I’ve never read Nancy Drew as a kid, especially since it’s marketed to girls. So this post might be appealing to moms and dads for their young daughters who are hooked on the book series, if not already the previous Windows gaming releases.

The only thing I can say from my end is that during my time as a bookseller for Barnes & Noble, Nancy Drew books were a commodity one would lose life and limb over…until a certain young wizard came along. *cough* Harry Potter

Farmville At 7-Eleven

June 19th, 2010 View Comments

Obviously Zynga has come quite a long way. Got a nice deal here with 7-Eleven and an iPhone app in the works for Farmville. Sing it with me y’all! “Movin’ on up to the East side. We finally got a piece of the pie!”

Btw, I snapped this with my iPhone while getting gas at 7-Eleven. (To totally digress for a moment, I have to say that I love my iPhone 3GS’s camera feature. It has come in handy ever since I accidentally broke my point-and-shoot camera in New York City last summer. More importantly, in light of the great quality that the 3GS delivers I am even more excited about getting my reserved iPhone 4 next Thursday!)

Chime for XBOX 360

I love games like this, puzzle-like and lots of strategy required. In other words something to pass the time in a really nice way.

If I owned an XBOX, this would be one of the games that I’d buy, not to mention a game that I saw a video about many months ago called Flower, I believe.

Check it out…
