I am not a video gamer by any stretch of the imagination but I do think I know a good product when I see one and Crysis 2 looks killer. I won’t belabor this post with my usual babble.

EpicFu is BACK….again….? But they’re back! Yaaaay!!

I have been a huge fan of this web show for years now. I just love the great work that Zadi Diaz, Steve Woolf do to make Epicfu.com an ever-evolving and relevant source of good content on the web, about the web among other things. And while I have read of inklings about EpicFu moving away from strictly showcasing web culture-based content, I must argue that it is web culture in which they excel. Whether my remarks have any good meaning for them is up to them, but I’m making a sincere compliment from the bottom of my heart.

Anyway, this episode is on “7 Steps To Building Your Online Identity” featuring three people whose websites I frequently visit to learn more about building my online identity as both David Moore and my alias, macdavid. I could do a lot better, but this isn’t about me right now.

What is your online identity and how have you started to build it? Any positives and/or negatives along the way? I’d love to know.

Great people, great episode. Check it!

First iPhone 4 Cinematic Film

June 28th, 2010 View Comments

When I read this I sat up straight in my chair because I was partly in disbelief. But it turns out that this project is real, but is in serious need of financial backing. The project is on kickstarter.com and needs $12,000 dollars raised by July 15, 2010 8:02pm. As of the time of this post, $257 dollars have been raised and by my estimates, time is a-flyin’. I would love to see this film completed, so I will make a donation–a small donation, but at least I’ll be cheering it on with my monetary support. I will update this post once I have made the donation.

Here is some info on the film and and the camera setup with the iPhone 4:

About the Film
“I’m Going Home” is a short film that explores one man’s accidental discovery of the city he loves.
Film is slated to be shot on location in NYC mid -July. The film was written by Nathan Scott, co-directed by Philip Bloom (“Red Tails”, “People of” series) and Reece Brothers (“Fifty People, One Question”)

About the Production
Since the iPhone 4 launch, our team has devised a way to mount the iPhone 4 to rails, allowing us to take steadicam, dolly, and glider shots. It also allows us a level of control of exposure and white balance with the use of ND filters and gels. To see some of the test shots we have taken, see the trailer above. For more information, see Philip Bloom’s blog post.

Google Buzz: Revealed

June 19th, 2010 View Comments

Hey! I’m just getting around to even have time, let alone interest in another social network. I’ve read that Google Buzz’s self-proclaimed purpose is to unify or reduce the social information flood from being on so many social networks. Although I can’t shake this statement running through my head: “Hey reduce the information flood of too many social networking sites by joining my social networking site.” o_O

I would love any user feedback from folks that have tried it out. Love it or hate it, I wanna know. Now for your entertainment needs, compare and contrast. ;)

Check out this revealing video on Google Buzz.

Okay, just kidding. Below is the real one.

Should I even bother joining this?
