Stolen iPhone Part 2: I filed a police report

So I kept a neat file on every purchase I made since I bought my first iPhone. I also called AT&T and retrieved all of the IMEI numbers for my phones. (For those of you who do not know what an IMEI number is, it is simply and remarkable. IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity (pronounced Aee-mee). It is a unique number for all GSM and UMTS mobile phones. It is used to identify valid devices being used on the network, otherwise they will be blocked and therefore unusable on the wireless providers network. Even if the SIM is switched, the phone will not be usable on the network from which it was banned.)

At any rate, I obtained the IMEI number of my stolen phone because I didn’t know it previously due to the fact that it was a refurbished replacement of my first and original phone. So I am on my third iPhone. I hope that my local authorities will obtain a subpoena to get the information of the person using my phone, and track them down. Otherwise IMEI!!! lol

We shall see what comes of this. I will post updates as time goes along.

Smooches! :)

My iPhone got stolen from a restaurant one night a dinner.
I was gone for less than a minute sot someone was probably just waiting for the opportunity to grab it.
I reported the iPhone stolen here:
    http://www.stolen-property.com/report-stolen-iPhone.php
It's a world wide data base of stolen property, not simply iPhones.
Hopefully it helps catch the thief if they try to sell it!
  • Cool thanks! :)
